In November 2014 the first group of UK NHS staff set off for Sierra Leone to treat victims of Ebola. The world followed their story as they shared experiences of hope and despair through tweets, blog posts and photos on social media using hashtag #nhsvolunteers. The stories they told leave a rich, moving and powerful legacy. I’ve chosen just ten of my favourite photo tweets from the team of UK doctors and nurses from the front line that capture powerful moments. These tweets speak for themselves.
