We’ve been asked a lot of questions, so what we have tried to do with this movie is to answer as many of those questions as possible in one, four-minute segment.
There are two parts to this movie: we start by telling the story of individual healthcare professionals using public social media, to give a sense of the kinds of channels that healthcare professionals are using and the way that social media is helping them in their professional lives.
The second part of the movie is about the Creation Pinpoint Big Data Engine – the technology that sits behind the Creation Pinpoint service.

New technology for a new concept
Last year we launched Creation Pinpoint, our unique service for studying and learning from healthcare professionals who are using public social media channels. It was build on brand new technology, when even the idea of healthcare professionals using public social media channels was a new concept to many people in healthcare engagement.
Better health outcomes
Over the course of the last year, since we launched Creation pinpoint, we have heard some fantastic success stories of companies, organizations, and other stakeholders who have been able to both understand health stakeholders better, and to connect with stakeholders in new ways, that are more relevant, more effective, and achieve better health outcomes.
We have used Creation Pinpoint to inform and provide insights on health policy; healthcare products; and attitudes towards different therapy areas. It has been used to support health policymakers in understanding healthcare providers’ perceptions about particular health programs and systems; and by pharmaceutical companies who are launching new products. In fact, 40% of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies are today using Creation Pinpoint to provide better support to their customers. This is making a huge difference in healthcare.
So we wanted to tell the story of how the conversations among healthcare professionals are providing insights that are helping healthcare organizations and healthcare companies to better understand the needs of their customers and stakeholders, and take appropriate action.
Produced in California
We worked with a team in California on the movie production, the voice-over, illustration and animation. We had seen some of their work before and really felt that they would be able to tell the story of healthcare professionals in public social media and Creation Pinpoint, in a fun, light-hearted but effective way.
Telling the story of the healthcare professionals who inspire us
We’ve studied hundreds of thousands of doctors and other healthcare professionals on social media – in fact we have analysed more than 200 million Tweets from healthcare professionals, and hundreds of thousands of their posts on forums, blogs and other channels. But in this movie we wanted to tell the story of individual healthcare professionals, look at how social media has changed their lives, and how it’s helping them in their professional work.
So if you’re a healthcare professional and you think you see yourself portrayed in this movie, then it’s quite likely that your real life in social media has inspired us as we put this movie together.
